Discovery Communications wanted to celebrate their 30th anniversary of storytelling with a big impact -- in 360 degrees. There was no better way to illustrate and extend their brand promise than being one of the first media companies to immerse audiences in virtual reality.
I worked closely with both the Discovery Communications and Chalk + Chisel teams to brainstorm early concepts for the go-to-market cross-platform experience. In additional to a seamless user experience, it was critical to ensure an easy, sustainable solution was created to maintain and add new content to the app quickly. I worked closely with Chalk + Chisel's engineering team to manage the implementation of that solution.
Discovery VR has been featured in AdWeek, DigiDay and most recently won a Webby Award as one of the best virtual reality experiences of 2015.
