wego is a social event discovery app designed to connect people around live music. Inspired by the wego founder's experience of moving to a new city and making new friends at shows, we worked together to create an app focused on enhancing the concert experience and building a community. As the lead Product Manager and Strategist, I collaborated with every team member that impacted the wego brand from marketing to engineering.
After a performance evaluation of the app's first version, I developed a pivot strategy to transition the app from "Tinder for music lovers" to a platform with core interactions around events rather than people. As a part of the Chalk + Chisel team, we collaborated on a user experience that considered a music lover's journey from the moment of finding a concert through the after party. This new feature set fostered user interaction much more organically.
wego is currently in a successful public beta targeting the Washington, DC area.
